All new clients will pay a one time, non-refundable consultation fee of $25. This includes an in-person consultation where I will meet you and your pets, go over details of the services requested, paperwork, and pickup keys to your home, and provide a lockbox for you to keep for future visits.
Please ensure you have two sets of keys (one for use and the other as backup) available at the time of consultation.
Two keys (one for use and the other as backup) are requested even if there is a door code/garage code in case of malfunction. Keys will generally be held onto by Always There and locked away in a safe location for future services. This is to ensure if you are delayed returning home, we still have access to caring for your companions. Keys can also be returned by mail for a $10 fee.
We currently offer flexible payment options including Cash, Check, and Venmo payments. For recurring services, we will provide a weekly invoice. For intermittent services, we require payment before services commence.
A $25 fee will be charged for each returned check in addition to any and all bank fees attributed to the returned check.
Please request all services desired at the time of scheduling, before the consultation, to ensure price confirmation and enough time to complete all requested services. We will always be up-front about prices and do our best to accommodate you and your pets' needs. We are always happy to provide estimates over email at no cost to you! Estimates provided are based on the information available at the time of request and are subject to change depending on the specific needs of your pet(s) and the services required. Final pricing will be determined upon a full assessment of the pet sitting services, including the duration of care, special requests, and travel distance. Additional charges may apply for any extra services requested after the initial estimate or if there are changes to the scope of care (e.g., last-minute schedule changes, etc). We understand plans change. Due to being a small business, Always There must turn away potential clients to accommodate those scheduled. To mediate the loss of cancellations, we do have a cancellation policy in place:
Services cancelled with less than 72 hours notice prior to scheduled service will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled visit(s).
Services cancelled with less than 24 hours notice prior to scheduled service will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the scheduled visit(s).
No refunds for holiday cancellations.
If owners are away for a long period of time: Dogs without access to outside will require a minimum of two visits per day. Cats will typically require one visit per day or a minimum of every other day. Small animals will typically require a minimum of every other day or one visit a day depending on the species. Livestock will typically require two visits per day.
Clients are responsible for providing all necessary supplies for pet or plant services performed by Always There. If pet or plant necessities run out during a visit, such as food or fertilizer, the client will be charged a $15 restocking fee. Always There must also be reimbursed for the items restocked.
Your peace of mind is important to us! Keeping your pets, home, and personal information safe and secure is our top priority. All keys and personal information we obtain will be kept confidential and stored under lock and key. Keys will be discreetly labeled. Please feel free to let us know if you have any concerns! We care about your pets and personal property, and are an insured business (more information on our FAQ page).
Update and verify your current contact information, including: emergency contacts, name and phone number of hotels, etc.
To ensure your pets do not undergo potentially life-threatening reactions while you're away, please avoid elective surgeries (spay, neuter, etc.) and administering vaccines prior to Always There visits.
If you have a trusted neighbor, feel free to give them our number so they may contact us with any pet or home concerns while you're away.
We very much appreciate a quick text or email letting us know you have returned home safely and that all is well.
